The list seems that top leaders of the major parties have more chances of winning this time as they don't have tougher contender from the rival parties.In fact Prachanda had been openly stating in the past that it is very important to include the top leaders in the Constituent Assembly as the CA in the past had to face a lot of difficulties due to their absence. In the first CA election UML suffered the most with most of it's central committee leaders defeats and many congress leaders including present Party President Sushil Koirala faced the defeat.This time most of the UML central committee leaders are preparing to fight election again on FPTP system.
With the final list of the candidates; the ongoing arguments, debates, protests and the speculations have been less as all the candidates have gone back to their respective districts with the party tickets.Although all major parties have seen many dissatisfaction and protest over the final list.
Popular Youth Congress leader Gagan Thapa has finally been nominated from 4-kathmandu but another leader Suprabha Ghimire who was demanding her candidacy instead of Thapa has quit the Nepali Congress party.Suprabha Ghimire had won the direct election from the same constituent at the first CA election.Although her party had offered her the Nomination in Proportional Representation Quota, she denied and announced her quit."The party didn't respect my 30 year's sacrifice for the party," she has said.
Another big news makers became the no. one Nepali Actress Rekha Thapa, as her name didn't include in the final list of CPN Maoist Party.She was publicied as the candidate from Parsa Constituency-1, party has listed Baliram Shah instead of Rekha Thapa. Many people had already suspected that Prachanda was just using her as a media hoax.Another gossip lover Actor Bhuwan KC also didn't make his name in the final list of CPN UML, he was said to be listed from Kathmandu-1, but his name was withdrawn after the disagreement from the Party Regional Committee Members.
