After the exclusive Guardian Report on Nepalese Worker's Condition in Qatar, the international media has discussed it a lot and most of them have understood it as if Nepalese workers there have been treated as slaves.They have presented the issue together with the world cup 2022 preparation which Qatar is going to host.Many national and international media and various groups have condemned Qatar government, there has been thousands of discussion on social medias and Nepalese people have started several campaign to give some pressure including the petition sign campaign in www.change.org.In the video prepared by the Guardian, the working condition of the workers there is very poor.They don't have proper accommodation. The dirty and narrow rooms, dirty bathroom and kitchen with moving flies and insects are enough to understand the poor hygiene and the living condition there.They haven't even been provided with drinking water in such hot desert.

What was the official Attempts in the Issue from the countries concerned?
Both Qatar and Nepal have issued their official statements.Qatar has clarified that there is no worker exploited and all the workers there are working under their existing law.Similarly Nepal government has agreed with their statements saying there has been no such exploitation and deceit like the media has reported.
Now what is the truth then?
It seems that Qatar and other gulf countries have their typical labor law.As per the existing law
the employers can confiscate the workers passport, withheld their salary for few months when they think is necessary, they even have to get the exit permit from them whenever the workers want to leave Qatar prohibiting them to quit job,change employer and leave Qatar.In short the employer will take the whole responsibility of a worker once they enter there on working visa.
What is the result then?
After the report, the outer world have got the chance to understand the working condition of the workers there which Qatar claims to be as per their law.The whole incident has created some pressure on Qatar for liberalization of their labor law and improve the living condition of workers which seems unfair to them. As Qatar has been one of the Top countries who have employed Hundreds of Thousands Of Nepalese workers every year, Nepal government must handle this case with proper diplomacy as we don't want to loose the employment chance but we want better working condition at the same time.
