One Indian Protester Killed In Nepal, 2 Arrested

one indian protester killed , 2 arrested in Nepal

It has been proved that India is involved in the Madhesh protest in southern Nepal who have been agitating since last 89 days demanding amendment in the new constitution. Although India has been denying their involvement in the Madhesh Protest and the Trade Blockade to Nepal, there is no doubt left after Mondays' incident.
Monday morning , security forces dispersed the protesters who had been blocking the India-Nepal custom border in Birgunj and opened the border. Later it was revealed that 2 of those 5 arrested during border clearance are Indian citizen. It further cleared India's participation in the protest when one protester killed in Monday's clash with police is revealed as an Indian national. The incident happened when the security personnel opened the border in the morning, hundreds of Morcha protesters arrived in the friendship bridge when all of the Indian vehicles stranded in Nepal side were cleared from Nepal. The protesters again took control of the custom and burnt down a police post nearby and also vandalized the Maiti Nepal's office run by CNN Hero Anuradha Koirala who have been rescuing innocent girls trafficked through the India-Nepal border. Police then tried to stop them using baton charge and tear gas before they opened fire to stop more violence. One of the injured in the firing died who later was identified as Indian citizen named Aashish Kumar Ram a resident of Raksaul India.
Indian foreign affairs ministry condemned the incident saying thier citizen was innocent and Indian prime minister Narendra Modi also called Nepalese KP Oli and inquired about the incident.Prime Minister KP Oli has informed him all about the incident and urged India not to create any blockade in the border.
India as usual as said that there is no blockade from Indian side, but the reality is Nepal is receiving only 10 percent of fuel resulting only 20 percent of public and private vehicles are on the road with 60 percent Industries already shut down due to lack of raw materials and 60 percent of Nepalese are cooking on firewood now even in capital Kathmandu and other cities.
India is backing the Madhesh protest as there are many Madheshi leaders who are loyal to Indian parties and they want to gain control over Nepal's politics using some of the selfish leaders in Nepal.
Therefore the genuine demands of the Madhesi people are fading now as Indian interest are in the frontline.
