The Special Court on Sunday has remanded one more week to five Nepalese footballers accused of match-fixing in various international football matches.
Although Police had sought for 8 more days, they were given one more week to investigate more on different present and former national football players and the coach who were arrested in October 14 on charge of taking money from different international match fixers and loose several match while
playing for nation.
Those arrested players are national team captain Sagar Thapa, his deputy Sandeep Rai, second-choice goalkeeper Ritesh Thapa, former player turned coach Anjan KC and defender Bikash Singh Chhetri.
Initially Players had admitted to match-fixing taking money and loose matches at various instance but yesterday the players have dramatically changed their voice denying any match-fixing although they have admitted to taking money from different people saying they gave money as friends.
Police claimed that they have gathered sufficient proofs to charge them on match-fixing.
