DSP Caught Red Handed While Taking Bribe

A Deputy Superintendent of police (DSP) has been caught red handed in Kalanki Kathmandu while he was taking bribe.
A dealer of second hand materials had informed the team of Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority(CIAA) that DSP Tejendra Paudel had asked 35,000 bribe in order to get his vehicles passed out of the valley. It wasn't any difficult for the team to arrest him when the report appeared true that Paudel was caught while taking the money.
Paudel has been kept at CIAA custody in the capital now.He will face the serious charge of misusing his position and taking bribe illegally.
It was embarrassing incident that Paudel was promoted to DSP just before 6 days.Although this is not a new incident of catching a government worker red handed while taking bribe.Last Year in an sting operation by the members of Movement of Anti-corruption, an NGO, the minister for Labour and Employment Kumar Belbase was caught on Tape while asking bribe. He was asking 2 lakhs with the persons who wanted to register a new Manpower Agency in Kathmandu. In February last year, 5 Police high officials were found guilty in a case cheating more than USD 4 Million while supplying APC to the Nepal Police Peace Keeping Missing Team working in Darfur Sudan.

This is an intresting note that there has been some increasement in the salary of government workers since this years new Budget last week.We had written an article on the increased salary and the Inflation. This is just an example of corrupt system prevailed in anywhere else in Nepal.
