Finally one of the so called Dons (Gunda in Nepalese), Parshuram Basnet , has been sent to
jail while he was unbale to pay his bail ordered by Special Court today.Basnet was sent to
Central Jail after his inability to pay Rs 20 Million bail.Whereas his wife Anju Singh Basnet has been
released on general date.
Basnet is one of the powerful cental Committee Member of the CPNUML Youth Wing
and also the Eastern In charge. Recently he had pleaded with the party to get rid
of the case once the Anti-Money Laundering Body filed case against him on May 18 for amassing
Property through Commission and Ransom from the Business persons, getting contract
through Illegal power etc.
Anti-Money Laundering Body has filed case against other Dons Ganesh Lama, Deepak Manange, Abhishek Giri and Chakre Milan on same date for similar reasons.Their case is yet to see in near future.
Many of us may support these dons for some personal reason, but the culture they have started , the crime they have committed are unforgivable.
