Morcha To Stir Up The Protest, Schools-Colleges Allowed To Operate

Madhes protest in Terai Nepal

Agitating Madhesi Morcha has decided to stir up the protest after the recent talks with government team became fruitless.Today's joint  meeting of Morcha  at party office of Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum has announced the decision.
A highly anticipated talks between Morcha and Government talks team on Wednesday had ended inconclusively as the proposal forwarded by government side was rejected by the Morcha.Morcha blamed that the government team came up without any concrete planning as they can't trust the agreements in installment.
The press release after Thursday's meetings stated, "We have decided to stir up the ongoing protest as present government isn't serious about the demands of Madhesi, Indigenous groups, Tharu, Mushlim, Dalits and other marginalized communities."
In the statement signed by party heads of four Morcha Aligned parties, it is stated that they will continue obstructing at  all transportations, industries, southern borders and highways in a more effective ways.
At the meantime, Morcha has decided to allow educational institutes to operate in the morning sifts. Earlier millions of students were stopped from going to school/colleges due to their closure.
 
Nepali Congress, the main opposition and the largest party in the parliament, didn't participate in Thursday's Talks between government and Morcha saying they weren't informed about the talks on time and they can't see the government serious about addressing the problem.
There has been several rounds of talks between ruling parties and the agitating Morcha but all of them failed to resolve the problem.
Madhesh based parties are agitating since last there months demanding amendments in the new constitution which was promulgated on September 20 saying the new constitution hasn't secured the rights of poor, marginalized and the Madhesi people.More than 40 people have already died in the protest including one Indian citizen.
General life has been badly affected due to petroleum blockade by India citing the insecurity at the borders due to protests.
Government has already signed agreement with China  to import 1/3 of petroleum from China. A team of government and Nepal Oil Corporation is heading to China on Friday to strike petroleum deal.
