Seriously dude, they are the people who can be bought and sold for money. My parent used to have several kamalaries before, now they all have left house, so i have to marry a girl to help them but my parent won't let me to marry my girl friend because she is not from a rich family to give away a large amount of dowry in our marriage .
The above lines are more than enough to explain the situation of poor women in western Nepal where the tradition of Dowry and Kamalari have put their life into misery.Poor Women , called kamalari and have been sold and bought for
money by their family and the owner of them once they are sold, they can be sold several times.
Dozens of so called kamalaries have been protesting in kathmandu Nepal since last 5 days for declaration of freedom and to ensure their right as a normal citizen.Police have used excesive force to stop their protest while demanding justice to Sirjana Chaudhari another kamalari who was murdered.
Several Kamalaris have been injured on the clash whereas the condition of 3 is said to be serious.They have been geting treatment at Annapurna Hospital.
Urmila Chaudhari from Dang, Kamala Chaudhari and Sujata Chaudhari from Kailai are those seriously injured. Even the local people were agitated with the police for not using female police on the female protest.Tharu Welfare Assembly and CPNUML Nepal party have consolidated the movement.
